🐦 KISSING CRANE GENUINE ABALONE TRAPPER

Classic trapper pattern. Old-school name. And a handle that absolutely steals the show.

The Kissing Crane Genuine Abalone Trapper takes a traditional pocket knife pattern and dresses it up with one of the most eye-catching natural handle materials you can put on a knife.

The genuine abalone handle scales shimmer with different colors depending on how the light hits them, and because it’s a natural material, no two knives are going to look exactly alike. You’ll see greens, blues, purples, silvers, and other colors running through the handle that give this knife a high-end collectible look.

Underneath all that good looks, you’ve still got a traditional working Trapper setup.

It features two AUS-8 stainless steel blades — a clip point and a spey — both finished with a bright mirror polish. AUS-8 is a solid stainless steel that offers good edge performance while still being relatively easy to sharpen.

The polished nickel silver bolsters finish everything off and give the knife that classic traditional-pocket-knife appearance.

At 4 inches closed, it’s large enough to feel substantial in the hand while still being comfortable to carry in a pocket.

🚛 BROKE TRUCKER TAKE

This is one of those knives that looks a whole lot more expensive than it needs to.

The abalone is the star of the show. Every time you move the knife, the handle catches the light differently, and every knife is going to have its own pattern and character.

I also like that Kissing Crane didn’t just make it pretty and call it done. You’re getting AUS-8 steel and the traditional clip-and-spey Trapper combination, so it’s still a knife you can actually carry and use.

Would I throw this one in the bottom of a toolbox?

Probably not.

This is more of a Sunday-carry, collection, gift, or “let me show you this knife” kind of piece.

If you like traditional pocket knives but want something that stands out from the usual jigged bone and synthetic handles, this one definitely deserves a look.

Classic Kissing Crane style with a whole lot of shine.
